Topro Colostrum Pure has been produced with the aim of completing colostrum as well as possible. The product consists of 94% dried bovine colostrum, supplemented with extra energy. Topro Colostrum Pure has been produced with the aim of supplementing the mother’s colostrum as fully as possible.

Topro Colostrum Pure; colostrum is vital!

It is the first food that calves and lambs receive and is needed for a good start. Colostrum contains a lot of immunoglobulins, which are needed for good immune defence. Immunoglobulins are antibodies that are absorbed in the gut in the first hours after birth. In addition, colostrum has a high fat and protein content. This is important because calves and lambs need a lot of energy directly after birth to maintain their body temperature. Sufficient colostrum intake by calves and lambs cannot always be taken for granted. This can have several causes, including insufficient colostrum production or a lack of antibodies in the colostrum.

Use and dosage

Give the milk as soon as possible, preferably within a few hours of birth, as maximum absorption of nutrients takes place during the first two hours of life.

• Lambs:
  Mix 25 grams of powder with 80 ml of warm water (45 degrees Celsius) until the powder has dissolved. Advice for very weak animals: mix 50 grams of powder with 120 ml of warm water
• Calves:
  Enriching colostrum: measure the Brix value using a refractometer (sufficient quality: 22%, excellent quality: 25%). Add 45 grams of Topro Colostrum Pure per litre of colostrum to raise the Brix value by 1 point.
  As a supplement to colostrum: add 200 grams of Colostrum Pure to 1 litre of warm water (45 degrees Celsius).

Stir until the product has fully dissolved.
