Topro Calcium Green bolus

Topro Calcium Green bolus is a mineral dietetic feed specifically for organic livestock farming and supports cows around calving. Around calving, cows have a high calcium requirement because large quantities of milk are produced. Administer the bolus to reduce the risk of milk fever (hypocalcaemia).

Reduces the risk of milk fever

The Topro Calcium Green bolus has been developed to reduce the risk of milk fever. The Calcium Green bolus contains readily absorbable calcium and is released immediately in the rumen. Phosphorus has been added alongside the calcium. Phosphorus is needed to bind calcium, and a calcium deficiency is often accompanied by a phosphorus deficiency. Vitamin E has also been added to support the general health of the freshly calved cow.

Dosage

Minimum dosage
• 2 boluses 12 to 24 hours before calving or immediately after calving.

Additional dosage
• 1 or 2 boluses 10 to 12 hours after calving.
• 1 or 2 boluses 24 hours after calving.
• 1 or 2 boluses at signs of a calcium deficiency.

Dosage after a calcium infusion

• 2 boluses 2-12 hours after infusion.
• 1 or 2 boluses at signs of a calcium deficiency.
