Stainless steel bolus applicator sheep

Stainless steel bolus applicator sheep

This bolus applicator has been developed specifically for administering Topro boluses. The bolus applicator is made of stainless steel, is easy to handle and can even be used with one hand.

Instructions for using the bolus applicator

• Place a bolus in the bolus applicator
• Hold the animal with its head stretched forward and its neck straight
• Place the bolus applicator at the front of the mouth and push it firmly but gently over the back of the tongue
• Raise the head with the neck stretched and the animal will swallow the end of the bolus applicator, which you notice because the bolus applicator slides easily into the throat
• The bolus can then be delivered by pulling the trigger
• Carefully withdraw the bolus applicator
• Do not use force when administering the bolus
• Observe the animal briefly to make sure the bolus is swallowed
